Time, Place and Identity by Daniel Shalit

Time, Place and Identity by Daniel Shalit

After the end of the World War II, Bijelo Polje, like many other areas of former Yugoslavia was a poor place, without pemutih wajah electricity, water supply, public bathhouses. It was the area which resembled dark vilayet in the novelettes of author Risto Ratkovic . There were two districts, known in public places as Donja and Gornja Mahala. Visit of your friend from one on the other town district was obviously a holiday, and for children it was obviously a special adventure, for the kids it turned out the trip to the unknown region.

Regardless of the quite challenging living conditions, the inhabitants of the time's Bijelo Polje were locating the causes of associating with each others, just for fun and joy. Both driver with everything everyone was finding pleasure in St. Elias' Day. It was the afternoon when we of Bijelo Polje were going to a picnic, to Prstavac, presently Malo Polje, their favourite place of the time. It was every day of general straightening up, children were taking baths, girls were washing their hairs in ash lye, to get their hairs bright and waiving, and then they were braiding them in 2 braids coiled round the head, fixed with hairpins; they wore kerchiefs - what differed them from married women.

Humanity has misunderstood the character of reality which is now facing the inevitable consequences of experiencing ignored each of the signs that indicated that a whole new paradigm needed to be found. If we are collectively to change how we think, there should be one method or another that explains our experiences and is also reasonably satisfactory to power-possessors in addition to their advisers: scientists, sociologists, philosophers and religionists?whether Moslem, Christian, Jew or Buddhist.

In the Bible's 23rd Psalm, where it says, "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want..." want implies fear, desire, lack, etc. If one lives an ethical, pure lifestyle and sincerely attempts daily connection with higher consciousness through devotion, meditation, mantra, and/or prayer, one actually starts to experience God being a loving parent. One starts to feel there is a great, benevolent, supporting and understanding Power within that have to be able to reduce one's needs, wants, desires etc. quite dramatically. This Power may be almost anything to anyone, the genie for the reason that movie, "The Secret."

Experience yourself as a kid of God (or this brilliant Universal Power), after that your Divine Parent(s) (the ever loving Father/Mother God) undoubtedly an endless source of abundance and love! The Lord is your good "shepherd" who's always offered to make suggestions, inspire you, and fulfill your requirements. If you happen to be Hindu, this Absolute Power could possibly be the Divine Mother: ever loving, ever nurturing, and forever fulfilling! If you are Moslem, it is the great Allah, if you're of the Jewish faith, then it might be Yahweh, and the like.
